About Alex Pannell
Alex comes to Give Back Real Estate as someone who has grown up with the Athens community. As a son of a professor, he went to school in the area and is a graduate from the University of Georgia. The experiences from his early years have created a firm appreciation and understanding of the local area that goes well beyond the surface perspective.
After graduation from UGA, he took a job with the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Education. An opportunity that would lead him to graduate work at the American Graduate School of International Management, also known as Thunderbird. The international experiences combined with a MBA in international management led him to a wide variety of jobs in technology, entrepreneurship, and international work.
After moving back to Athens from California in 2004, Alex began his career in real estate as a land developer and built the shopping center in Oconee County known as Market Center. This new urbanist concept would provide the platform for learning all phases of real estate from purchase negotiation to land planning and approval to sale of the finished product. Since then, Alex has participated in 100s of transactions as a principal, seller, buyer, and as a real estate agent representing the needs of his clients.
These opportunities and experiences provide the foundation of what Alex can do for his clients. Whether it is negotiating on purchasing or buying property – (residential or commercial), consulting on 1031 tax exchanges, or representing his clients in a court of law as an expert witness, Alex has the depth of knowledge, experience and local understanding to keep his clients’ needs first and foremost, while getting the best deal possible in a real estate transaction.
In short, he is a veteran of 1000 psychic wars. Let him be your negotiator.
